The challenges and Importance of Knowledge Management in Remanufacturing

Remanufacturing as an industry can extend product life and service and even enhance its performance. The knowledge involved in remanufacturing industry is not as systematic and available as that in other industries. Knowledge management for remanufacturing industry is therefore challenging, and yet important as it is knowledge management has been proved in other industries as a tool in current knowledge economy. This paper discusses knowledge manufacturing tools and the characteristics of knowledge in remanufacturing.
